Aaron graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Entrepreneurship from Iowa State University while playing for the Cyclones' ACHA D1 hockey team. Additionally obtaining minors in Management and Environmental Studies, Aaron has applied a driven education into a passionate future of developing student athletes. Prior to concluding at the collegiate level in 2019, Aaron's professional career yielded opportunities beyond his own capabilities by quickly training current NHL players and many of the players drafted the last couple years.
Through a reinvigorated passion within the game to teach, Aaron capped off a career as an ACHA Div. I Runner-up (2019, 2016), KIJHL League MVP (2015), and a Junior-Tier 3 National Champion (2012).
Aaron was an inaugural player with the '94 International Selects, the Inland Northwest's first spring program founded by Tysen. Today, Aaron has coached eight spring seasons alongside Tysen leading to the eventual birth of the On Top HockeyClub (OTHC) in 2020. OT Hockey is a player development platform servicing the Northwest as the premier individual skills training and Spring Hockey program. Integrated with invitational opportunities for players to compete in exposure showcases throughout the spring and summer.
Behind the bench, Aaron completed his third season under the Wenatchee Development Teams, most recently coaching the 16u Minor and 14u Tier I teams. During his time, multiple players moved on to the CSSHL, Junior levels and were drafted in the WHL.
As one of PowerEdge Pro's leading professional instructors, Aaron has worked with NHL superstars through youth hockey associations in the implementation of individual skills. Understanding situations and refining technique has allowed Aaron to become a leading skills coach for game application and drill innovation.
